Costa Rica is classified as a tropical country because of its proximity to the equator. The seasons are more or less divided into two: Dry and Green. During the dry season, the skies are clear, the sun is shining bright and we seldom have rain. During the green season, you get more rain but still plenty of sunshine. There are consistently about 12 hours of sunlight per day for the entire year. We like to say that it’s always hot here but from December till April it’s warm and dry and from May till November it’s warm and humid.
